Our topic is about nuclear power and my position is for, because (1)nuclear power is clean in that does not release CO2 or other gases that pollute the air and (2)it is highly efficient and cost-effective.For example, while nuclear power generation uses a gram of uranium, thermal power generation uses 3 tons of coal. The average price of uranium per gram is about 8.5 yen, but that of 3tons of coal is about 26,500 yen.

Our presentation is about corporal punishment. I am for of it. I have two main reasons to support corporal punishment. One reason is that I think it is an appropriate form of discipline by teachers. Some students are too violent and sometimes it is uncontrollable for even teachers to stop the violence in the classroom. Teachers cannot keep the regular class for other students. Only in that case I understand teachers can punish such students physically. It is a kind of emergency and otherwise other students may get hurt physically and mentally by some students’ violence. The other reason is that some students cannot understand how terrible and wrong what they are doing is. Sometimes even though teachers repeatedly tell them not to do wrong behavior, they don’t stop doing so. Maybe that is because they are too lazy to understand or they cannot control their illogical feelings of complaints and dissatisfaction and they don’t want to listen to the teachers and parents. In those cases physical punishment can defer from their misbehavior because it is naturally painful. Other students who watch them punished in front their eyes will refrain from disruptive behavior. Of course teachers have to know corporal punishment can be done only in case of the last and the only way to discipline students.

I disagree with smoking ban. There are two reasons I want to show. One reason is that the government give tobacco tax and has been depended on it.If the thought of smoking ban was expanded, how do we made up for the loss of tax, which is a total of 200 million? So,I think we should not effect the low prohibiting people from smoking easily. The other reason is that Japanese tobacco companies is big ones and many workers engage in those firms.their firms will go into bad situation as smoking in public spaces is regulated. What is more,Japan has been is depression. It seems to me that the depression worsen if they lost their jobs beca
use of smoking ban.Surely tobacco has several bad effects. However,It is important to discuss smoking ban before the government enforce the low. Therefore I am against about this topic.

Our topic is smoking bans. I disagree with smoking bans. I have two reasons. First, the action has a possibility. The possibility is that the action may produce unemployed people.I think the situation is very serious. The other reason is that the tackle makes smokers irritate. Smoker feels stress. Stress is very danger. Because stress connects with desease directly. So, my position is against. We should not ban smoking.

My position is against. I am against Tokyo 2020 Olympics. First, it is because, it costs vast money to establish the sports stadium of the Olympics. For example, I break an existing building and remake sites for the Olympics. Moreover, it costs money to make personal ornaments because a design is important. Secondly, it is because minus parts of Japan are known all over the world. When the Tokyo 2020 Olympics are held, many people visit Japan. Other country people may make complaints of Japan on this occasion. For example, they may say about a traffic condition, the issue of garbage, smoking cessation、and service methods. These will burden Japan. Furthermore, these will have a bad influence on the future in Japan. Therefore, I am against the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

My position is against. The first reason is corporal punishments cause physical pain or suffering in. I think that it’s not the right manner of education. When students suffered violence, they feel fear. That’s difficult students disobey teachers of the relationship between teachers and students. Because of that students suicide and express their rancor against the teacher. There are several examples that a student committed suicide by the violence by a teacher. I think a case that happened in Osaka in 2012 is most impressive. This case is corporal punishments in the club activities. Sometimes we can see that. However these cases are clean the surrounding area of their school or students practice hard and so on. That is meaningful for students. Using violence is useless. I never permit physical punishment.

Our presentation is about animal testing. I am against of it. I have two main reasons to support it. One reason is that I think animal testing is a tax loss errand. As I see it, there are the data which a number to die for a malignant neoplasm continues increasing for the past 50 years. It is the result that spent a vast tax in cancer research. We should change a tax spent by animal testing to the prevention, epidemiology and environmental maintenance, prevention of pollution. The other reason is that the human being may infringe the right of the animal by animal testing. For example, the animal cannot issue the words that the experimenter uses. Therefore the animal cannot appeal how hard it is. And it is the weak than a human being in the situation. For the above reason animal is inflicted for human profit though it is a healthy body, and the life is cut off. For experimental animal, it is abuse and is torture.

Our presentation topic is performance based pay and I am for the system. I have two reasons. First, it is because employees are likely to have higher motivation for their own work. Now most companies introduce a seniority system so as they work longer, they can get high salary. In short, even if they can't give the results at work, they can get salary. So I think they lose their motivation for job in seniority system. But if companies introduce this system, they can get salary which reflects the work they do so each employee has higher motivation. And if each employee cames to be motivated, the company can accomplish great achievements. Second it is because the companies which introduce this system can gather capable people. I think the people who are confident that they can give the results at work, can make constant efforts and have strong wills to succeed tend to choose the companies which introduce the perfprmance based pay system. I think the people who aren't confident in themselves at work, they will find work in companies which don't introduce this system. Because they worry that they may not succeed at work and I think they will avoid working at the companies which introduce this system. Only people who have a strong desire to improve themselves will choose to work there. So I think the companies can achieve results. For these reasons, I am for the performance based pay system.

My topic is about Euthanasia. And I am against to it. There are two reasons. First, I think the family and friends may be sad when someone choose to die. They may not hope that he or she die. Second, it may be missed. That is because it's likely to be able to cure that ill. If there are a little wishes to cure, I think better to live. Anyway, to choose euthanasia is to give up the hope. Surely, it's very hard to fight against a disease. But even so, we have to live!

Our topic is smoking ban. I am for the topic. There are two reasons. One is that smoking raises the risk of cancer. The risk of cancer is expected to be at least ten times higher among smokers than the risk among non-smokers. The other reason is that smoking has bad effect on environment. Tobacco is made from wood. Therefor if it continues making a tobacco it leads to deforestation. And it leads to global warming. For sure it is free to smoke. Howeverwe cannot live without health and environment. Therefor I am agree the smoking ban.

I agree the death penalty. I have two reasons. At first, it helps victim’s family to close their emotional. When someone is involved crime, he will have to endure pain. For instance, it is mental pain. Victims become disgusted with involving people and they can’t eat anything because of losing their important people. Moreover, their honor is hurt by media. Many media report these incidents and private information. It is immeasurable how hard these are. Therefore, murders deserve a death that matches their crime.
Second, the death penalty will relieve the government’s financial burden and overcrowding in prisons. In japan, they spend 38,700 million yen to control criminals per a year. Meanwhile, they give 570 million to victims. It is unfair now. If the death penalty is broken, the number of criminal would increase and the government would have to spend more money. From the reason, I think I should continue the death penalty.

Our debate topic is same-sex marriage. I am against this topic. The first reason is that if woman and woman get married, they increase economic burden. Especially in Japan, there are large differences between man's salary and woman's one. Man's same sex couples are no possibility of it. But in the case of woman's same sex couples, even if both of them work, their salary is low compared to man's same sex couples. Then, economic burden increase. The second reason is decline of birth rate. Even if you want to children, you can't give birth to children with the same sex. In other words, we lose environment leaving offspring. Also, if children decrease, producter population decrease, too. Then country may not consist. Therefore I am against same-sex marriage.

My position is for about grade skipping. There are two reasons. First, the child who skips grade can learn to get along with seniors. Grade skippers can learn that he or she becomes a member of society at school. This is very important in human society. Because most people will get hassles when one get work. And it leads to a chance widening acquaintances. It is necessary to having people who cooperates. Second, it can acquire qualification necessary professional education. They don't have to narrow the width of the choices. Also they don't have to give up wanting to do. From these things I am for this.

Our presentation topic is about same-sex marriage. I am agree to it. There are two main reasons. One reason is that many Japanese who have same-sex partners from different countries chose to relocate to their partner’s country, where same-sex marriage is recognized. This trend can be defined as one factor that contributes to Japan’s declining population. Japan population is already aging society with fewer children. This is very serious problem for all Japanese people. Another reason is that recognizing same-sex marriages will allow same-sex couples to attain equality under the law and be officially acknowledged. These actions will help eliminate prejudice and discrimination in society towards sexual minorities. In Japan, There is no issue for a religious reason if same-sex marriage is accepted. All people should be equal under the law. This is why I agree to same-sex marriage.

Our topic is skipping grade. I’m disagree skipping grade. There is two reason that I’m not agree this topic. First, I think grade skipping reduce period learn culture and knowledge. For example, if students skip grade, they go out into the world early, so they have no time to learn things except study. Also, school isn’t just a place to study. Students should learn culture and knowledge except study. Second, I think skipping grade isn’t suitable to national character in Japan. Japanese society is seniority system. Japanese pay homage to the older and important the difference between age. If student skip grade, their classmate is older. It is same from they work in the world too. I think they don’t become familiar with people around them.

Our topic is about death penalty and my position is AGAINST. First reason is that death penalty isn't necessary for the families of victims to heal psychological wounds. Somebody insists that if people who kill others are executed, the families of victims can wind up the crime. And they can start their lives.
But, I think that the families of victims can't forget the sadness easily even if murderers are killed. This is because the victims can't come back forever. Second reason is that the death penalty does not have the power to prevent more people from murdering. Many people does not kill others because they are afraid of death penalty. But somebody wasn't afraid of death penalty at all. Far from it, somebody killed others in order to be killed. This is the big problem because some people will kill others who have nothing to do with murderers. For these reasons, I think that we should commute a death penalty to life imprisonment.

Our topic is about performance-based pay. I'm against this system. I have two reasons. First, I think this system don't adapt to Japanese. This system is used in America but it is not necessarily good choice for Japan. For example, there are many difference between Japanese and Americans. I think Americans are individualism and they have own opinions. On the other hand, Japanese emphasize connection of other people and tend to care about other people. If Japan introduces this system, cooperation system will break and companies'development will fall. Second, I think this system will bring loss of motivation and confidence some people. It is very important that all worker work hard. In addition, this system will bring decline of sense of loyalty. People who work longer at the company will decline.
