Compared to our first day of class, I feel good about Nicole’s academic writing for some reasons. First, you check our RP step by step. That helped us a lot because we could correct our mistakes in each section and learn how to organize and how to use in-text citation again and again. Secondly, you also taught us how to translate Japanese to English. It was very useful for us because there are few classes in this university in which we can learn about translation. In fact, I want to be a translator in the future, so I could get a lot of information in your class.
I felt really tired after writing a 1500-words research paper. Though one of my seniors had told me that Academic Writing was the hardest class in this university, I had felt easy because I like to write English. However, I had quite difficulties in getting a lot of information from various books, using proper intext citations, and especially organizing. It was very hard for me to write 1500-words RP, but I’m sure that will help whatever I do in my future.

When this course started, I feel uneasiness. Many people say that Academic Writing is much more difficult than IE writing. But, you are very kind and teach us carefully. I really appreciate you to have checked my paper every week. Thanks for this, I finish my paper without letting my work pile up. Now, I can enjoy Academic Writing course. Though homeworks were surely hard for me to do, but really valuable. I can understand how important to do things step by step through this class.
I can feel satisfaction and confidence after writing 1500 -words research paper. I could learn really many things through this writing.

I heard this course was much difficult than IE, and in my IE course, I sometimes could not keep up with it, so when this course began, I thought I would fail this course . However, in class, you taught me many things, for example, how to quote and how to organize the research paper persevering. Moreover, you answer my questions in email. These your kindness always helped me when I wrote my research paper, and now, I feel not fear but a little interesting in this course and enjoy this course.
I did not think I could write 1500-word research paper, so I am satisfied with my finishing writing it. Writing research paper was so hard and I wanted to stop writing it many times, but now I think this will improve my writing skill.

After finishing IE core, I felt that I should learn about MLA style to develop my academic writing skill. Therefore I am glad that I have that chance in this class. I feel more confident with it than the first day of class. 1500 words seemed a lot but now I have written more than 1800! 1500 seems even too little for me. It is easy when the topic is what I really like. Because it is about the Beatles, I did not get bored. I enjoyed writing it even though it was one of the toughest works in this semester. Especially, writing conclusion was hard for me.
I am thankful not only for teaching us how to write a research paper but also correcting and teaching grammar, vocabulary, and every little thing that is only understood among English native speaker and not taught in school.

Compared to our first day of class, I feel a sense of fulfillment toward Avademic Writing. When this class started, I felf nervous because there were a lot of work to do such as 1500-word reserch paper and blog comment. However, I was gradually get accustomed to some tasks. Every time I completed tasks, I felt some sense of fulfillment. In addition, becuase deadline was always Tuesday, I was able to complete tasks efficiently by contraries.
After finished writing my 1500-word reserch paper, I feel confidence toward this kind of papres. Firstly, I thought it was so hard to write 1500-words that I could not finish it. However, you asked us to do papers step-by-step and checked them every week. That really helped me. I am sure that if I try to write 1500-word at once, it is probably impossible. However, doing it step-by-step and your correction gave me some confidence and deep understanding everything I completed. I an convinced that this experience is helpful for my future life.

First day of Academic Writing, I was very nervous because I heard this course was very difficult. Actually, this course is difficult and hard for me. However, compared to the first class, I feel good. It is because Nicole teach us step by step and help us to write our research paper.
Thanks for Nicole's help, I could write 1500-word research paper. Now, I am very satisfied with writing 1500 words. At the same time, I feel that I have to improve my skill and my research paper to make more good one. Writing research paper is very hard because it is different from IE writing so I didn't think that I could write it. However, I could learn many grammar, structure and knowledge about my research paper topic through writing it. This course is very valuable and good experience for me.

When I compared to the first day, I have less worries and feel less nervous. Because I heard Academic Writing is much more difficult than IE3 writing from its teacher, I felt very fear. Then, after this class started and I learned about how to write, my feeling about Academic Writing went okay. Of course writing is very difficult, but I had positive attitude toward it day by day. I feel more confident than my first day of this class.
I cannot believe I wrote whole research paper. It was really hard for me to write it. I feel I achieved my duty. I know I have many things to correct and rewrite, so I want to try my best till the end.

Before I took this class, I didn't know how to write a specific essay well because I didn't understand MLA style, in-text citation, and other specific writing ways. Of course, previous IE writing classes taught us how to write, but it was not enough and I wanted to learn in datail. So during this class I'm so glad to be taught a lot of specific knowledges. You taught us step by step, so I could undestand all of them easily and completely. Compared with myself before this class, I came not to be afraid of writing such a long essay and had confident to writing and researching.
To finish writing 1500 words essay becomes my confidence, as I wrote. I feel so good now. I think I chose too difficult theme, the differences between chinese english and Japanese English and I could not find articles writing about this, so I have to find every single articles about Chinese speakers pronunciation, Chinese grammatical errors, Japanese loanwords and so on. It was so hard but good experience for me. Thank you for your great help for us, for me!!

My IE3 teacher often told us how hard this course is, so I had thought that it would be troublesome in academic writing. However, the style that Nicole taught us is clear enough and the tasks are not so difficult, so my image against academic writing course became better. After my writing a research paper, I did not think it was really hard. It's because Nicole gave us a task little by little. I learned how to write in funnel oranization in this research paper. Also, other teachers had never taught tranlations, but Nicole taught us. She can stand by both sides, so I think that is great.

On the first day, I thought Academic Writing would be the toughest class in ones I was taking , and this idea has not cahnged yet, but my impression to this class has changed. I have thought it was just testing but now, I feel this class is so fun and useful because teacher gives us a lot of precious information that must be helpful in the future. I believe my skills in academic writing are much better than the firtst day now.
After completing my research paper, I felt I could do this! I thought it would be impossible for me to write 1500-word paper with various rules such us in-text citation and funnel organization. However, by progressing step by step, I gradually understood those rules and could finish writing reseach paper. I have a sense of achievement now.

At first, I wondered if I can complete my AW paper because I'd heard that AW is comparatively difficult. As I thought before beginning AW class, it was difficult to do for me. And even now, I feel so. But, this class is very useful and worthwhile in the same time. Through some advices from AW's teacher, we can find so many valuable things for our English skills. Now, I've done my 1st draft. It was so tough for me but also a little bit fun. But once I start to write, 400 words is too little to write each body paragraph deeply. I sometimes shortened it unwillingly. Finally, I found it is enjoyable to write the paper or examine about my topic sentences. I experienced a precious time.

When i took this course, I didn't have confidence to write research paper in English. Finishing research paper seems so hard for me. Now I feel that it is less hard than i thought. Because teacher taught how to write research paper closely. Moreover, teacher imposed task on us step by step,so it is not so hard work. Teacher's help is big factor to feel that it's not so
hard.
I don't have good English skill, so I was not confident. However, i can have a little confidence.when i finish writing 1500 words. It is good experience for me. what i learn thing in this class is so useful when i write something in English.
