In addition, about 700,000 people come here from the whole country. I also went there since when I was a child. However, it is held in October, so we should wear warm clothes and bring some blankets. Usually there is not many people in Akita but when the Kantou Masturi starts people come from many places to see it. What they do in the festival is the performers hold a long stick with dozens of lanterns on it with their forehead. The light are very beautiful and the performance is very exciting to watch. Also the music played by flutes and drums makes me feel very cheerful. I want to show the surprising pictures of the performers of the Kantou Matsuri to my partner.

The cultural activity I would like to introduce to my Cambodian partner is ohanami. I know that it is held every year, all around Japan during spring, when the cherry blossoms bloom. It is where people get together and drink and eat under cherry blossom trees at parks. I want to describe this activity because, cherry blossoms are one of Japan's special trees and everyone in Japan knows about this activity. I don't know if they have cherry blossom trees in Cambodia, so I would also like to ask them that. Ohanami is an activity that does not need a particular language to enjoy, so it is an activity that my partners can also enjoy, if they have the chance to visit Japan during the cherry blossom season.
